natural winter skin saviours 1

Freezing temperatures, harsh winds and central heating is a recipe for dry, flaky skin and a dull complexion. And since it’s not socially acceptable to hibernate until Spring (boooo…), I’ve got my faithful natural winter skin saviours to get me through. These products restore my skin back to its pre-winter soft and radiant self.

Oils. All The Oils

I am a MASSIVE fan of oils. I use them probably more than anything else. I moisturise my whole body in about 10 seconds by applying oil as soon as I step out of the shower. Right now I’m using Nom Nom Skincare Relax Oil. Made for pregnant ladies (which I am not), it is organic and smells delicious. It’s also made up the road from me by the lovely Jayne. I use Forest & Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil every single time I wash my hair. I apply a few drops of organic hemp oil to my face each morning followed by a day cream. It works like a treat and gives me the ideal makeup base.

Lavera Wild Rose Deep Hydrating Mask

Lavera face masks are always fully stocked at mine! They make them for every skin concern and right now my biggest concern is dryness. I’m a massive believer in #selfcaresunday so will use a mask (or three) every week without fail. I also love the Whamisa Organic Fruits Hydrogel Mask.

Green People Natural Tan Moisturiser

I did a whole post on this natural face tanner because I love it so much. Using it two times a week keeps me looking healthy and makes me feel like I don’t need to put on that much makeup in the mornings. Who wouldn’t want a glow that comes with an extra 10 minutes in bed every day?!

Hurraw Moon Lip Balm

As a legit lip balm addict, trust me when I say this is the most moisturising lip balm out there. The mix of organic oils and butters is pure perfection and I wake up every morning with the softest lips. I’ve even found I have less of a need to apply lip balm during the day since using this one while I sleep.

Hyaluronic Acid Capsules

Hyaluronic acid has the ability to improve your skin’s texture and appearance, It is a lubricating, clear substance that is naturally produced by the body. Hyaluronic acid is found in the skin (among other places) where it helps retain collagen, increase moisture, and provide elasticity. From the inside out will always be best approach.
